Merry Christmas Foreigner (Week 15)
Oh the Christmases where I come from are so beautiful. The white snowflakes create a frozen blanket on the ground, and children frolic and play with the biggest grins on their faces. You can go sledding down huge hills with your family and enjoy the cold wind blowing back in your face. You can build snowmen or have snow ball fights with your friends. But the best part of the Christmas season is when you're done with the fun in the snow, you huddle around the nice warm fireplace, and join together for a soothing cup of hot chocolate. However, snow isn't what it's all cracked up to be. When the roads freeze, driving becomes a pain. Also, it takes a long time to warm up after your nose and hands have been touched by the notorious Jack Frost. Even though Winter has its downs, I couldn't imagine a Christmas season without a world covered in snow, and the Christmas spirit being shared throughout the country.

Life Changes (Week 14)
If I could change any one moment in my life, to alter the where I am now, I would choose nothing. I am perfectly happy with my life as it is, and I wouldn't want to risk not meeting some of the people who are so important in my life. But since this is not an option, I would change a decision my mom made when I was in 1st grade, and I had no choice but to agree. I was offered the opportunity to be pumped up to 3rd grade, from 1st because I was more advanced than the rest of my class. I really wanted to take this, but my mom declined... With the excuse that I was already so much shorter than everyone, and that I wouldn't fit in. This makes sense, but if I skipped 2 grades, I could be a lot farther in achieving my life goals. However, that would also mean that I never would've made some of the friends, or life long relationships that I have experienced in my lifetime. So I am grateful of where I am now, but also believe it would've been an interesting experience to see all of the different people and events I would've encountered with that one small change in my life.
I'm a Turkey (Week 13)
Gobble, Gobble, Gobble. The most traumatic time of year is coming, is this
is my year. I have finally reached maturity; so humans will be on the look out.
I have to keep my eyes peeled, and stay out of sight. This dreadful time of
year is like a horror movie to us turkeys, and now it is our chance to plan a
way to survive this season. A bright orange object appears to be winding in and
out of trees, sneaking through our habitat. Battle stations ready, birds!... When the man
comes into plain sight, we take our positions. 5 turkeys will be the decoy, and
start flapping around to distract him.
That will be my cue to come up from behind, and peck his face to bits…
Those humans won’t be enjoying their turkey feast this year… We shall be
victorious :P

Red Solo Cup (Week 12)
This post is a little more challenging for me, because I don't actually have
a music collection of any kind. So I suppose I'll talk about a song that is
clearly not well reviewed, but i still enjoy listening to it from time to time.
This would have to be: "Red Solo Cup". This song was huge when it
first was released, but was way overplayed, and quickly became a part of
yesterday's music. My dad has hated this
song since it originally came out, but played it in his band for the sake of
the audience’s entertainment. First hearing him try to sing along with that
song was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, because you can see the
hatred on his face with each word he would recite.

The Chicken (Week 11)
Why'd the chicken cross the road? Well... it's not quite as simple as that one question... It all goes back to one hot summer day...
There was a lonely chicken pecking seeds along the sidewalk (in this society, chickens roam free). This chicken was very sad, and wanted a companion. It was at this moment when he looked up, and to his amazement, he saw a huge (20 ft.) tall Hen across the way, standing frozen in front of a restaurant. He knew he had to meet this gorgeous bird, so he decided to take the "walk of death". No chicken has ever successfully crossed the busy highway in downtown. Slowly and hesitantly, the chicken started trotting across the street.
One lane down... Only 3 to go. He can see the lust gleaming in his darling's eyes... He must reach her. Two lanes down. He's halfway there... Oh No!! He quickly twists his head to the left and sees 2 bright headlights racing towards him. There's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide... BANG! A vehicle effortlessly runs the chicken over, and he laid in the road, lifeless.
In an instant, the chicken's soul began to float up from his body, and he once again catches sight of his soul-mate. He drifts over to her, where he stays by her side for the rest of eternity.
[ Every story must have a happy ending somewhere :) ]

Happy Halloween! (Week 10)
We all assume that monsters roam the Earth and torment and scare people on Halloween. But this is not the truth! In reality, that is what monsters do year round. When you hear creepy creaky sounds, and whispers, or cold drafts, those are monsters. (We just convince ourselves that they're the sounds of an old house or a drafty window, so we can feel better) But anyways, Halloween. This is the day when the ghosts, and zombies, and monsters can roam with human kind, and not be noticed. They disguise themselves as a kid who is out trick-or-treating (to get free candy, like any smart person would do), or people at a Halloween Party, and they live like people for 1 night a year.

Baby Shoes (Week 8)
It was a foggy Saturday morning, when Monica went into labor 2 months early. It was just a week ago, they celebrated her baby shower. Things were no longer looking good for her. The pains were getting closer and stronger, there was blood everywhere. The doctor's were rapidly losing hope for the survival of her child. Now there only goal was to keep Monica from falling unconscious to no return. Finally, a motionless child passed through her canal, and sadness filled the room. Monica and Chandler wept for days while receiving "comforting" words from friends and family.
4 months later, Monica finally built up the courage to sell all of the apparel and accessories for their lost baby. This is when she posted the advertisement on Craigslist:
For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn

World War 2 (Week 7)
I would go back to the time of the Holocaust. Obviously I would be on the supporting side with the Americans, working to defeat and destroy the infamous Adolf Hitler. I'm too chicken to actually participate in battle, but I would dedicate my time to rescuing Jews and other Minorities from German control. I would figure out ways to tunnel into the work/concentration camps and save the prisoners. I'd become famous for my courageous and heroic acts.
I would mainly want to be born earlier than that time
period, however, because it would be really cool to be apart of history that
overcame the Great Depression, and restarted the economy in the United States.
All Dogs Go To Heaven (Week 6)
All dogs go to heaven is one of my niece's (Lilly) favorite movies. Looking back on it now, I realize that movie has a lot of humor and conversations that relate more closely to adults, than little kids. If the movie was seen from the little girl, Anne-Marie, it would be depicted in a more naive, and innocent manner.
The movie originally follows, Charlie, a dog who rose from the dead for another chance of going to heaven. From Anne-Marie's point of view, however, it is simply an exciting and new journey she goes on, with a dog who she takes in as her best friend. From Anne-Marie's eyes, this movie would be a journey between a girl and her best friend, as they search for a family and a home where Anne-Marie can be safe and comfortable.
Anne-Marie comes off as a happy, and trusting little child who gives her whole heart to anyone who will take it. If we witnessed the world the way she does, we would realize that she's actually a scared and lonely girl, who is desperate for companionship.

My Doodles (Week 5)
I definitely doodle in my notebooks, on my homework, and just while sitting at home. I admit that I'm not the best artist, but my hands are kind of drawn to it. Usually I draw hearts, write words, phrases, names, or draw patterns. Simple things like that. I don't really think this says much about me, except that i have potential to be good if i really concentrate on a project. I think I just draw what I do because it’s simple, but looks nice. If someone else were to look at my doodles they would see a girl who is crazy in love, but also values family and friendship.

Unlimited Time (Week 4)
If we had an unlimited amount of time in the world, I would take full advantage of any opportunity I didn't have before, due to my "lack" of time. If time simply didn't exist, it would always be light out; the sun would constantly shining on one half of the world, and the moon on the other. Because we don't have to worry about a long plane ride, the power of thought could carry a person to their desired location. I would spend eternity traveling the world, with my family and the people I love. My first goal would be to visit the 7 wonders of the world.
If there were no such thing as time, nobody could die or age.. so we'd all be stuck in our current bodies. Because of this, the world population would become entirely overcrowded, and we'd be surrounded by war, poverty, etc. That would be the negative effect of time coming to a halt and disappearing from existence. The more people that came into the world, the wider availability of opinions there would be for people to disagree on, and fight over.

Expert at Eating (Week 3)
Everyone know a lot about food, but what about the act of eating. When it comes to devouring a plate of spaghetti, or an entire pizza to myself; I am the master.
As i sit up on my podium, the hands start to go crazy. "What is your favorite food?", "What food is the easiest to eat quickly?", "What food generally fill a person up faster?" I know what you're thinking, these questions seem pretty pointless, and I completely agree :)
But here are my answers:
My favorite food- popcorn and funnel cake
Easiest to Scarf down- cereal or soup (you have the liquid to help wash it down)
Fills you up Fastest- pasta or Chinese

I Drive Me NUTS! (Week 2)
One thing I do that I really hate is obsess over tiny things. My main thing, is having to have my bed made at all times. Whenever my blankets get messed up or anything, I kind of freak out. I even sleep on top of my covers, and use my snuggie as a blanket. I know that it's there to get messy, and for me to remake it.. but it drives me crazy when I worry about it so much, mostly because my brother likes to make fun of me for it, and purposely mess them up. If I wake up in the middle of the night, and it's messy, I'll even remake it at that time, which really drives me crazy.

Senior Year! (Week 1)
Ahhhh! Finally... the last year of high school, and I personally
couldn't be happier. Although, it did come a little sooner than I had
hoped; I could've survived another month or so of my nice relaxing
summer, but all good times have to come to an end eventually. None of my
classes are going to be super hard, but I do know that my computer
class is going to be a breeze. I'm taking Information Processing 1A, and
it deals strictly with 'Microsoft Word' and 'Microsoft Excel', which
I've been capable of operating since like 3rd grade (at least). My
favorite class is definitely going to be psychology, because that's what
I'm going to major in at college. It is a more demanding class, which
only gives me more of a desired challenge that I've been looking for.
The greatest thing about Psychology will be learning the functions of
the human brain, and what causes people to behave the ways that they do,
and develop the mental disabilities that more and more people seem to
have these days. This first week of school seemed to go by fast, but I
think it's still too early to tell how the year will be in terms of my
attendance, social life, or education. I hope to see my senior year go
by fast, and just to enjoy it while it lasts.
