All dogs go to heaven is one of my niece's (Lilly) favorite movies. Looking back on it now, I realize that movie has a lot of humor and conversations that relate more closely to adults, than little kids. If the movie was seen from the little girl, Anne-Marie, it would be depicted in a more naive, and innocent manner.
The movie originally follows, Charlie, a dog who rose from the dead for another chance of going to heaven. From Anne-Marie's point of view, however, it is simply an exciting and new journey she goes on, with a dog who she takes in as her best friend. From Anne-Marie's eyes, this movie would be a journey between a girl and her best friend, as they search for a family and a home where Anne-Marie can be safe and comfortable.
Anne-Marie comes off as a happy, and trusting little child who gives her whole heart to anyone who will take it. If we witnessed the world the way she does, we would realize that she's actually a scared and lonely girl, who is desperate for companionship.
Surprisingly enough I have never seen this movie completely through ( and I LOVE Disney movies)
ReplyDeleteI have also seen this movie, but it has been many years.
